OBJECT OF THE MONTH
Explore Tsong-Kha-Pa, spiritual ancestor of the Dalai Lamas and incarnation of a celestial being. His sword of wisdom poised to strike through clouds of ignorance, Tsong-Kha-Pa is part of a collection of gilt bronze sculptures of lamas and deities both fierce and mild. Connect with him and with Tibetan Buddhist practice and devotion during the month of November.
Join us at 11:30 am on Thursday, November 30.
Speaker: Carrie Mikkelborg, Phoenix Art Museum docent and member of Asian Arts Council
Please stay around for a special engagement of Master Docent Ann Wall’s discussion of the photography exhibition Infinite Light: A Photographic Meditation on Tibet immediately following Object of the Month.
Free with museum admission.
