FIRST WEDNESDAY GALLERY TALK
How does an artist convey a sense of place? Through her series of photographs, Marissa Roth transports us to Tibet with subtle, often abstract, images of light, shadow, color, texture, people and objects. Each picture flows to the next to create a “visual sentence,” evoking spirituality and mystery; leaving us wanting to know more. The discussion looks at the creation of this group of connected pictures, and how the medium of photography was most appropriate for this project.
Speaker: Ann Wall, Phoenix Art Museum Master Docent, Photographer, and InFocus Member
This event is free with museum admission.
