FIRST WEDNESDAY PRESENTATION
Colin Pearson from the Musical Instrument Museum will offer insights into their newest exhibition, Ancient Musical Treasures from Central China: Harmony of the Ancients from the Henan Museum. The exhibition explores the harmony between music and people and between heaven and earth through extremely rare instruments and works of art spanning nearly 9,000 years of Chinese musical history. Colin draws upon the field of ethnomusicology to interpret culture and history through the beauty of music.
